Arrange a taxi to Heathrow or an onward transfer after your flight. Start with your pickup and destination, travel date, passengers and luggage. Compare the vehicles offered for your journey and review the total before confirming.

Your Heathrow transfer starts with the terminal on your flight booking. Add that terminal, your flight number and the full address at the other end of the journey. A hotel name, London district or airport code alone can leave room for a wrong turn before the journey has begun.
For an arrival, allow for the time between landing and reaching the public arrivals hall. For a departure, work back from your airline’s check-in and bag-drop deadlines. The time printed beside your flight is only one part of the plan.
Booking a taxi to Heathrow
For a departure, choose Going to Heathrow and enter the full collection address. Use the terminal on your flight information as the destination. Your pickup time is the time you need the car at that address, not your flight departure time.
Work back from your airline’s check-in and bag-drop deadlines, allowing for the road journey and time at the terminal. If you are leaving a hotel, confirm the collection entrance with reception. If the party is starting from more than one address, include the additional stop in the booking or ask Customer Care for help before confirming.
For a Heathrow arrival, choose Leaving Heathrow. Your flight number is required for an airport pickup. For a departure transfer it is optional. Follow the meeting instructions supplied with your booking; a terminal map alone does not identify your collection point.
What to check in your quote
Enter the actual journey details to see available vehicle options. Check passenger and suitcase space together, then review the journey price, VAT and total shown by the booking system. This guide does not set a fare or guarantee a journey time.
Use Return if you also need the journey back, and check both dates, times and addresses. If your plans change after booking, use existing-booking support with your reference. Read the booking terms and change and cancellation guidance before confirming.
Which Heathrow terminal do you need?
Heathrow has four passenger terminals: 2, 3, 4 and 5. Terminals 2 and 3 share the central rail station and have a pedestrian link. Terminal 4 sits to the south of the airport; Terminal 5 is to the west. Check your flight’s terminal with your airline before travel. Heathrow terminal maps.
Terminal 2

Enter Terminal 2 as your pickup or destination, even if your rail journey or map uses the name “Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3”. That shared station name does not identify your road collection point. If someone is meeting you, send them the terminal shown on your flight details as well as your arrival time.
Terminal 3

Terminal 3 is close to Terminal 2, but your driver still needs the correct terminal. Stay with the pickup instructions for your booking. Walking to another terminal after landing can make it harder to find each other, particularly if one person has already reached the agreed meeting place.
Terminal 4

Terminal 4’s multi-storey car park closed on 23 June 2026. Heathrow now directs people parking to meet passengers to Park & Ride 4, Zone A, and has a separate paid Priority Pick-Up area outside arrivals. Check the current Terminal 4 arrangements before travel. Your HAT collection location must be agreed for your booking; these airport facilities do not establish where your driver will meet you.
Terminal 5

Use Terminal 5 in the journey details and follow the instructions for your arriving flight. If different members of your party land at different Heathrow terminals, tell us before arranging one collection. Decide where everyone will meet and allow time for the people arriving last to collect their bags.
Which pickup instructions apply?
A pre-booked transfer, a taxi taken from a rank and an airport car-park collection are different arrangements. Follow the instructions attached to your own booking. An airport’s public meeting point or a car-park map does not establish your Heathrow Airports Taxi meeting point, and does not mean Meet & Greet has been agreed.
If your booking includes meeting inside the terminal, confirm the meeting location and how to identify the person collecting you. If a car-park collection is arranged, check the exact terminal and meeting instructions before walking there. Ask Customer Care if either is unclear.
For travel between Heathrow terminals, first check the official terminal-transfer guidance or your airline’s connection instructions. A separate road transfer is not automatically needed. For the onward journey, use the London planning guide or airport-connection guide.
Finding your driver after landing
Keep your booking reference and the contact details supplied with your booking somewhere you can open without searching through several emails. After any passport checks and baggage reclaim, read your collection instructions before leaving the terminal.
If a bag is missing, your flight has changed or you cannot find the meeting place, contact us with your reference and location. Describe the terminal and the nearest signed landmark. Moving between exits while someone is looking for you can make a simple misunderstanding harder to resolve.
Ask about the meeting point, waiting arrangements and any parking charges before confirming your transfer. Airport parking rules and charges do not tell you what is included in a HAT booking.
Getting from Heathrow into London
The best route depends on the address you are going to, your luggage and who is travelling. Heathrow has rail and Underground connections as well as road transport. A station near your hotel can make a train journey practical; several changes with cases and children can make a road transfer easier to manage. For a departure, give the actual hotel, home or office address, including its postcode. If the building has several entrances, add the entrance where you will be waiting. Check the return journey separately rather than assuming it will use the same terminal or time allowance.
Connections and overnight stays
If your next flight also leaves Heathrow, check your airline’s connection instructions before booking a car. Passengers on a through itinerary may follow an airside connection route. Travellers on separate tickets may need to enter the UK, collect bags and check in again. Heathrow’s connection guidance explains the different processes.
For a flight from another airport, read our airport-to-airport transfer guide. For an overnight stay, use the hotel’s full address and check which terminal it serves. A hotel with “Heathrow” in its name may still need a separate journey to your flight.
Choosing a vehicle
Count every passenger, including children, and list all the luggage travelling in the car. Pushchairs, wheelchairs, golf bags and large cases need a separate mention. Compare the fleet capacities and contact us if your load is close to the limit or includes bulky equipment.
