Your Heathrow terminal pickup guide
A Heathrow pickup starts with two different pieces of information: the terminal where your flight arrives and the collection instructions for your booking. Save both before travelling. This guide brings Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5 together so you can check the right terminal without assuming every arrival follows the same route.

A booked car, a taxi rank and a public meeting point
A private booked transfer follows the arrangements in its booking confirmation. The airport’s taxi rank is a separate way to obtain a taxi. A public meeting point is a landmark for finding other people; it does not automatically establish where your booked driver will meet you.
For an imminent pickup, use the contact details in your original confirmation. Have the booking reference, pickup date and location ready, as our Customer Care guidance explains. If you cannot find the agreed location, make contact before moving to another terminal or collection area.
Terminal 2
Confirm Terminal 2 on your flight information and booking. Heathrow identifies its public meeting point opposite the international arrivals exit. Use that information to orient yourself, while following the separate instructions for your booked pickup. Tell Customer Care if the flight arrives at a different terminal from the one in your confirmation.
Terminal 3
Heathrow identifies the public meeting point in the ground-floor Arrivals seating area. Check the specific pickup instructions before walking away from Arrivals. If members of your party arrive on different flights, agree how they will gather and who will be the contact person before booking a shared pickup.
Terminal 4
Heathrow lists its public meeting point beside WHSmith on the Arrivals ground floor. Check the airport’s current maps and your confirmation rather than using directions saved from an older trip. Airport parking and collection arrangements can change; the terminal’s public landmark is not a promise of a particular car-collection bay.
Current Terminal 4 parking and pickup arrangements
Airport information checked 1 October 2026.
The Terminal 4 multi-storey car park closed on 23 June 2026. Heathrow has moved public passenger parking to Terminal 4 Park & Ride, Zone A, including parking for people going inside to meet an arrival.
Priority Pick-Up is a separate collection area outside Arrivals, distinct from the drop-off area. Vehicles must not be left unattended there. Read Heathrow’s Terminal 4 changes and Priority Pick-Up guidance for current arrangements and charges.
For your booked HAT transfer, follow your confirmation and contact the operator if anything is unclear. This airport overview is not an instruction to go to Zone A or Priority Pick-Up. Confirm the arranged collection location before moving. Heathrow’s discontinued Meet & Greet Parking product is separate from a driver meeting a passenger; it does not determine the service agreed for your booking.
Terminal 5
Terminal 5 has two public meeting points: one on the north side opposite Travelex and another on the south side near Costa Coffee. Because there is more than one, “the meeting point” is not enough to identify a location. Check the wording in your booking and ask if the side or location is unclear.
These landmarks come from Heathrow’s meeting-point guide. Use the official airport maps for current orientation. Neither source substitutes for your Heathrow Airports Taxi collection instructions.
From landing to collection
- Check your terminal and flight. Make sure the booking contains the arriving flight number and correct date.
- Complete the arrival process. Allow for walking from the aircraft, any border formalities and collecting luggage.
- Keep everyone together. Count passengers and bags before leaving the reclaim or arrivals area.
- Read the collection instructions. Do not go to a taxi rank or terminal drop-off lane simply because it is visible outside.
- Contact us if the plan changes. Give the reference and explain where you are. Confirm revised arrangements before moving.
Make the details available after landing
Save the confirmation somewhere you can access on arrival. If someone else booked for you, ask them to share the reference, pickup details and operator contact information. Agree which passenger will be reachable and tell the booker if that contact changes.
For airport assistance, consult Heathrow’s assistance information. Separately discuss any vehicle access or luggage requirements with Customer Care; airport assistance does not confirm the suitability of a particular transfer vehicle.
Prepare the onward journey
Have the destination’s full address and entrance ready. See our guides for central London, Gatwick connections, Oxford and Cambridge. Use the family and group checklist to bring everyone’s passenger, luggage and seat-request details together. Compare vehicles and luggage space, then enter your journey in online booking.
