Heathrow to Cambridge transfers — both directions

Arrange a private transfer from Heathrow to Cambridge, or from Cambridge to your Heathrow departure terminal. Whether the destination is a hotel, college, home or workplace, use the full address and the entrance the passenger needs. “Cambridge University” alone does not identify a collection or drop-off point.

Find the right Cambridge address

A college, teaching department and accommodation building may have different addresses. Ask your host which location you need first: reception, a porters’ lodge, an accommodation office or another entrance. Copy the address and postcode from the host’s instructions rather than relying only on a place name.

The University of Cambridge’s college directory helps identify the relevant college. For a visit, consult the University’s visitor information and then confirm the actual arrival arrangements with your host. Our transfer service is independent; a journey to a university building does not imply a university partnership or permission to enter restricted grounds.

For a hotel, use the exact property name and postcode. For a workplace or science-park address, add the building and reception details. Tell us if luggage or keys need to be collected at a different address so an additional stop can be discussed before confirmation.

Arriving at Heathrow

Provide the arriving flight number and terminal, the travel date and the Cambridge destination. Allow for the arrival process before reaching the pickup: leaving the aircraft, any border checks, baggage reclaim and walking through the terminal. Flight landing time is not the same as being ready outside.

Keep the booking confirmation accessible after landing. Follow its collection instructions and use its contact details for an imminent pickup. Our Heathrow terminal guide distinguishes public meeting points from the instructions for your booked car.

Cambridge to Heathrow

Check the airline’s departure terminal and airport arrival requirements before choosing the collection time. Build in time for loading, the road journey and possible disruption. We do not promise a fixed Cambridge–Heathrow journey time.

If you are leaving accommodation, check when you must return keys and whether everyone can wait with their luggage at the agreed entrance. Give a contact number for a passenger who will be present. A person making the booking from elsewhere should share the reference and pickup details with the travelling party.

Choose space for the complete load

A longer stay can mean more luggage than a short visit. Count checked cases and cabin bags, then list extra items such as a pushchair, musical instrument or sports equipment. Our family and group checklist helps you combine everyone’s luggage details and identify requests that need confirmation. A vehicle’s passenger limit does not establish that every combination of bags will fit.

Use the fleet guide and the capacities in the booking flow. Ask Customer Care about dimensions or assistance requirements before relying on a category. A request for a child seat or unusual item needs confirmation; it is not established by selecting a larger vehicle.

Compare the whole journey

If you are comparing public transport with a private transfer, include changes, luggage handling, the final walk and any local journey from the station or coach stop. Check the service operator’s timetable for your travel date. A private transfer lets you specify an address, but traffic can still affect the road journey.

Quote and return details

Enter the locations, date, pickup time, passengers and luggage in online booking. Review the selected journey price, VAT, total and terms before confirming. Use Return for both directions and check each leg’s details, including any extra luggage on the way back.

Heathrow Airports Taxi has no minimum booking-notice period. This does not guarantee immediate vehicle availability: use the booking flow to check your journey and contact Customer Care if you need help. For an existing journey, use booking support.
