  • A higher class doesn’t add luggage space. Essential, Executive and First Class share the same published limit: 3 passengers and 2 standard check-in bags.
  • Cabin cases, pushchairs, child seats and equipment aren’t included in these limits. Tell us about them before you book.
  • Published limits are guidance, not availability. Check the classes offered for your journey in booking.

Two airports, not two terminals

Heathrow and Gatwick are separate airports. Gatwick’s North–South inter-terminal shuttle stays within Gatwick: it cannot take you to Heathrow. If both your flights use Gatwick, check the airport’s connection guidance before booking an inter-airport journey you may not need.

For Heathrow to Gatwick, enter your arriving Heathrow terminal and the correct Gatwick departure terminal. For Gatwick to Heathrow, reverse those locations and check your Heathrow departure terminal with the airline. The terminal you used on a previous trip may not be the right one now.

Build a connection plan around both flights

  1. Check the onward airline’s deadline. Find its check-in, bag-drop and boarding requirements. These are separate from the flight departure time.
  2. Allow for getting landside. Landing is followed by leaving the aircraft, any border formalities, baggage collection and reaching the agreed pickup.
  3. Allow for the road journey. Traffic and disruption can change travel time. A road estimate cannot guarantee a flight connection.
  4. Check the baggage arrangements. Ask your airline whether you must collect and recheck luggage, particularly with separate tickets.
  5. Keep both flight records accessible. Include the date as well as the time, especially when either flight crosses midnight.

If the connection is tight, resolve the timing with the airlines before relying on a car booking. We do not offer a guaranteed minimum connection time or promise that a driver can recover time lost to a delayed flight.

What to enter for your transfer

Have the pickup airport and terminal, destination terminal, date, requested pickup time and arriving flight number ready. Count every passenger and case. Cabin bags, pushchairs and unusual equipment also need space: use the family and group checklist and compare the vehicle allowances.

Select the actual locations from the booking suggestions and review the journey details before choosing a vehicle. The booking flow shows the journey price, VAT and total for your selection. This guide does not quote a fixed fare or include unconfirmed waiting or parking allowances.

Finding your booked pickup

Follow the collection instructions supplied for your booking. An airport taxi rank, public meeting point or drop-off lane is not automatically the collection location for a private booked transfer. For an imminent pickup, use the contact details in your original confirmation and keep the booking reference, pickup date and location ready, as explained on our Customer Care page.

If the arriving flight or terminal changes, contact us with the updated details. Ask for confirmation of any change rather than moving to another terminal and assuming the driver will know. For Heathrow arrivals, our terminal pickup guide helps you prepare.

Booking the journey back

Use Return in online booking when you need both directions. Check each leg’s date, terminals and pickup time independently. A return several days later may use different flights and a different number of bags. If a journey is already booked, use existing-booking support rather than creating a second booking to request a change.
